Show me how to change the default search provider in Microsoft Internet Explorer 7
Internet Explorer -> Microsoft Internet Explorer 7Problem: When I use the built-in search function in Internet Explorer it always takes me to search results on Microsoft's Live Search, but I'd prefer to see search results from another search engine like Google or Yahoo.
- Open Microsoft Internet Explorer 7
- Click the "Search Options" button (the small down-arrow to the right of the search box in the upper-right corner of the browser)
- Click the "Find More Providers..." item
- Browser loads the "Add Search Providers to Internet Explorer 7" web page
- Click on a new search provider
- On the "Add Search Provider" window, click the "Add Provider" button
- Click the "Search Options" button
- Select the new provider from the drop down list
- Click the "Search Options" button
- Click the "Change Search Defaults..." item
- On the "Change Search Defaults" window, select the new provider
- Click the "Set Default" button
- Click the "OK" button
