Show me how to format cell data in Microsoft Excel 2007
Excel -> Microsoft Excel 2007Problem: The decimal places don't line up in my columns and dates are not displayed consistently.
- Open Microsoft Excel 2007
- Right-click in any cell, or group of cells, containing data
- Select the "Format Cells..." item
- On the "Format Cells" windows on the "Number" tab, select the appropriate formatting from the "Category:" menu
- Click the "OK" button
- On the "Home" tab in the "Number" section, click the drop-down menu and select an appropriate format
- Click the drop-down next to the "Accounting Menu Format" button (it looks like a dollar sign) and choose the appropriate accounting format
- Click the "Percent Style" button (it looks like the percent sign)
- Click the "Increase Decimal" button (it has ".0" on it with an arrow pointing to the left)
- Click the "Decrease Decimal" button (it has ".00" on it with an arrow pointing to the right)
